Meet the Makers of History Team!
Working at museums, schools, archaeology sites and public events across the North West, we have enjoyed bringing history to life to a wide range of audiences.
Andy has an MA in Medieval History and a PGCE in Primary Education, teaching in schools across London and Manchester.
Alison has a First Class Honours Degree in English & Classical studies, and trained as a teacher of ESOL. She then taught children in both Malaysia and Portugal, as well as teaching adults in the Portuguese Parliament.
Since 2008, we have worked predominantly in Heritage Education in museums and with hundreds of primary schools and teachers. We make sure that National Curriculum objectives are covered using a fun, interactive and hands-on approach.
In 2013 Makers of History was launched, offering teachers Living History in the classroom with no need for expensive coach fees and complicated risk assessments. We have since worked with almost 43,000 children. We are particularly cost-effective when working with two or three classes all day. Please see our Testimonials page to read just some of the many positive comments we have received about our workshops.
