“Today was fabulous! It was engaging, a great pace, funny and such a great experience for the children.” Gawsworth P.S., Cheshire
“Excellent morning workshop – same as last year. The children really enjoyed it, with a range of activities which kept them engaged – dressing up, artefacts, games, acting. It covered lots of learning! We will book again for next year.” Woodland CP School, Lancashire
“Very engaging and hands on,  and all objectives that Alison said would be covered were covered. We will definitely bear you in mind for future workshops. You were amazing with the children and teachers. Your activities were thoroughly planned and prepared, each morning was an excellent Greek experience for our Year 3 and 4 classes.” Malpas Alport Endowed PS, Cheshire
Having worked at museums, schools and archaeology sites, Andy and Alison enjoyed their Living History & Heritage Educator roles with a wide range of audiences from 2008. With an enthusiastic & engaging delivery style, they launched Makers of History in 2013 to focus on bringing history to life in the classroom. As of November 2025, Makers of History have delivered high-quality history workshops to over 54, 000 school children across the North West, with many schools repeating the experience year-after-year. Every workshop includes hands-on activities, artefacts, crafts, games, costumes and drama to ensure every child is engaged and to appeal to pupils with a wide range of abilities. Although Andy has hung up his helmet to pursue a quieter retirement, Alison continues to offer half day morning workshops covering key curriculum points. We promise to give your children a trip to the past they will never forget!
